Peter Valent is Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance at NXP Semiconductors, where he has worked since 2016. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, he partners cross‑functionally across all IT domains to ensure internal and external stakeholder requirements are met with the highest standards of security, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

He is an active member of the Dutch Multinationals‑ISAC, a trusted collaboration forum where leading organisations share insights on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents impacting complex enterprise environments.

Prior to NXP, Peter served as Chief Information Officer at Astrata, a technology company spun off from Qualcomm. Earlier in his career, he held various leadership roles at Atos, with a focus on IT architecture, transformation, and enterprise IT management.
